Our Church Services and Meetings
Sunday Church services are held at 11 a.m. and last about an hour. You’ll find a friendly greeting, music, singing, Scriptural readings, prayer, and a sermon based on a weekly Bible Lesson from our pastor, the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. Christian Science branch churches like ours elect “Readers” from among our members to conduct our Sunday Service and our Wednesday Evening Meetings. On Sundays, the “First Reader” will run the service and read from Science and Health, while a “Second Reader” will read from the Bible.
Sunday School is offered at the same time as Sunday services for children and teenagers up to age 20. Each Sunday School class is designed to meet the needs of each individual student. Classes are based on the Bible, and, together with teachers, students can gain new insights into it with the help of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.
Wednesday Evening Testimony Meetings are held at 7:30 p.m. and also last about an hour. Wednesday meetings are similar to Sunday services, with music, singing, and prayer. However, the First Reader runs the meeting alone and reads selections from the Bible and Science and Health which are customized to the needs of the congregation and occasion. Most of the meeting is devoted to impromptu comments from the attendees. They’ll share insights, experiences, and healings they’ve had as a result of their prayers and study of Christian Science.
Childcare for infants and toddlers is provided for all our services.
